In 2022, The Centers for Disease Control reported that among young people aged 3 to 17, 10% had been diagnosed with ADHD, 9% with Anxiety, 9% with behavior problems, and 4% with depression. This represents millions of children across the United States.
What is child and adolescent psychiatry?
Child and adolescent psychiatry helps families navigate the challenges of the formative years. Childhood presents a unique set of challenges, including differences in healing strategies such as medication. Following this initial meeting, the provider meets the child. Our child and adolescent psychiatry providers see children from 3 to 17 years old. They have a wide array of specialties, some of which include:
Please note, at this time, Gladstone Psychiatry and Wellness does not offer neuropsychiatric or academic testing.
