Christine Herz, LMSW

Christine Herz, LMSW

Christine Herz (she/her), is a licensed master-level social worker (LMSW) with a Masters degree from University of Maryland School of Social Work. Originally from New York, Christine moved to Baltimore over 20 years ago to complete her MAT at Maryland Institute College of Art. After more than 12 years serving hundreds of children and families through art education and curriculum writing, Christine realized her passion for developing content focused on expression and healing. Motherhood has deeply shaped Christine’s interest in supporting parents (of any gender or sexual orientation), during this transformational life-stage. Christine believes change comes from within through the exploration of our personal histories, patterns and beliefs. With couples and families Christine seeks collaboration and simply a willingness to begin. She brings insight, directness, warmth and humor.

Christine’s approach, while always research-based and trauma-informed, draws from a variety of humanistic, psychodynamic and holistic theories. She combines mindfulness, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Parent-Child Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and the Erickson Institute’s Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) model, which Christine first explored while interning at Johns Hopkins. Each individual, couple or family will receive tailored care based on their specific needs.
