Paulette S. Smith, DSW, LCSW-C, originally from Harlem, New York City, and now residing in Baltimore, Maryland, has over fifteen years of experience in diverse therapeutic settings, including school-based, clinical, and private practice. She specializes in supporting young adults and adults as they navigate significant life transitions, whether personal or professional. Dr. Smith is dedicated to helping her clients adapt, grow, and thrive through these pivotal moments.
Her expertise includes treating clinical depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and mood disorders. As a Level 1 IFS-trained therapist, she tailors her practice to meet each client’s unique needs, empowering them to embrace all aspects of themselves on their journey toward emotional well-being. She integrates holistic practices and trauma-informed care to offer a well-rounded, personalized approach to healing.
Dr. Smith has degrees in Broadcast Journalism from Bowie State University, a Master of Social Work from Morgan State University, Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and a Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics program at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
