Laura Williams received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Wellesley College and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She has experience working with diverse populations after having spent much of her career in New York City counseling adolescents, adults and families in outpatient, home and community based settings. Laura gained experience as a DBT practitioner while working in a residential treatment center serving adolescents and their families. Laura is trained in the DBT Prolonged Exposure Protocol for PTSD. She is also a board approved supervisor through the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners. Laura is empathic and down to earth and looks forward to collaborating with her clients using DBT to promote their emotional well being and achieve their goals.
