Emma Young, LCSW-C, works primarily with adolescents and young adults experiencing significant emotion dysregulation. She is passionate about helping young people understand, process, and navigate intense emotions in healthy and effective ways. Emma has experience supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, and disordered eating.
Emma earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice from the Columbia University School of Social Work. During her training, she participated in the DBT Training Program and Lab, where she received intensive instruction and consultation in treating suicidal adolescents and adults. Since graduating, Emma has provided comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and worked across multiple levels of care, including residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings.
