Honoring Service, Supporting Mental Health: 20% Off Individual Therapy & Medication Management Appointments for Service Members, Veterans, and their Immediate Families
At Gladstone Psychiatry and Wellness, our mission is to make high-quality, person-centered mental health care accessible to our community and the brave individuals who have served our country. The mental health crisis among veterans is urgent—recent studies show that 22-24 veterans die by suicide each day, with 18-20 more lost to self-harm or injury. At Gladstone, we believe no service member, veteran, or their loved ones should struggle alone.
To honor these heroes and provide meaningful support, we are proud to offer 20% off self-pay rates for individual (non-DBT) therapy and medication management for service members, veterans, and their immediate families.
As part of Maryland’s Mission: Ask the Question, we are also encouraging individuals and providers alike to engage with veterans more meaningfully by simply asking, “Have you or a family member ever served in the military?”
At Gladstone Psychiatry and Wellness, we’re taking concrete steps to support our military community:
- Providing a 20% discount on self-pay rates for individual (non-DBT) therapy and medication management appointments to service members, veterans, and their immediate families
- Must present military ID to receive discount
- The discount starts today, Veteran’s Day, and continues for the rest of your time at Gladstone
- Offering flexible scheduling to accommodate active duty schedules
- Employing providers trained in military cultural competency
- Maintaining connections with local veteran support organizations
- Participating in the “Ask the Question” campaign to better identify and serve military families

TMS for Treatment Resistant Depression
TMS is a non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain associated with mood regulation. During the procedure, technicians use a device that generates a magnetic field with an electrical pulse that stimulates neurons in a targeted area of the brain. The treatment specifically targets the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain involved in mood regulation. During a TMS session, patients sit in a comfortable chair while a technician places a treatment coil against their head. The machine then delivers magnetic pulses to stimulate brain cells.
Here are some of the features and benefits of TMS:
- Tailored treatment for patients with treatment resistant depression
- Experienced psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Technicians and staff who are focussed on a comforting and nurturing patient experience
- Covered by most major insurance plans
- Daily treatments (Monday through Friday) for 5-6 weeks
- Effective, evidence based treatment that has been proven to relieve depression symptoms in patients who have previously not responded to other treatments
- 30%-48% of patients experience full remission of their depression symptoms
- Relief of depressive symptoms after TMS concludes lasts anywhere from 6 to 9 months to indefinitely
- FDA approved since 2008, with ongoing research that is continually improving the treatment
